Rachel Ranieri

CTE & Digital Literacy Teacher

I was born and raised in Northern California. Along the way I spent some time in Idaho, Brazil and ended up in Utah. I attended BYU (back in the day) and graduated with a B.S. in Psychology. For the next 10 years, I worked at a residential treatment center for 12-18 year olds. It was such a rewarding job and I figured out that I really enjoyed helping kids overcome obstacles and develop skills/talents/behaviors needed to succeed in life. This started the transition for me to find work in education.

I spent my first 4 years at Mountainville Academy in the Special Education Department working as a paraprofessional and as the file manager. Now I'm enjoying my new role as the CCA (College and Career Awareness), Digital Literacy and Cooking/Sewing teacher for middle school. I look forward to continuing my journey and finding ways for my students to succeed and find confidence no matter what level they are starting at in a class.
