Madeline Tobey

4th Grade Teacher

I was born and raised in the fabulous state of Texas. I moved to Utah when I started attending Brigham Young University in Provo. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Animation. After receiving my degree I moved back home to Texas where I started my first teaching job as a Digital Media Teacher at a high school. I loved the experience of working with my 9th – 12th grade students and it reinforced the reasons I became a teacher: to teach my students to see the world in new and creative ways and to inspire students to become lifelong learners.

At the end of my first year of teaching I got engaged to the love of my life and was once again whisked back to the beautiful state of Utah. It was while I was working on my Utah certification that I was first introduced to Mountainville Academy. I am honored to have the opportunity to be a teacher at this school. Mountainville Academy has such a warm, and inviting atmosphere that encourages a growth mindset for both it’s students and it’s staff. I feel so supported as an educator and feel like I have access to the tools needed to be the very best teacher I can be. I look forward to working with each student and parent as we start this amazing adventure that is Fourth Grade!
