Laura Ellison
Hello there! I'm Laura Ellison and I'm delighted to be a part of the 1st-grade team here at Mountainville Academy. This is my 6th year working at Mountainville and I'm so excited to be teaching 1st grade this year! I graduated from BYU with my degree in Special Education many years ago. I have been involved with education in some form for the past 30 years whether it’s been tutoring, helping with curriculum, serving on a school board or teaching. I have a passion for children and education and love that I get to work in a field where the two go hand in hand.
My family moved here to Cedar Hills 10 years ago from Frisco, TX. My husband and I have been married for 33 years and we have 4 children and one grandbaby. I enjoy being outdoors, going to Pilates and spending time with friends and family. I am looking forward to a great school year and creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to learn!
