I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and graduated from Pepperdine University with a BA in Communications and a minor in Marketing. After college I worked for a large insurance company and then resigned after my second child was born so I could be a full time mom. I have always had a strong passion for education, so when I returned to the workforce I naturally sought out a position at an elementary school. I loved working with and being around kids, so I earned my teaching certificate and began teaching the following year. I taught first and third grades in Idaho for two years then moved to Utah where I joined Mountainville Academy in 2009. In 2013, I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. I loved school as a child and also enjoy it as an adult. I hope to pass on that same love of learning to my students!
I am married to a great guy and we have three children, one of which is a college graduate and the other two are currently in college. I enjoy running and reading as well as playing games and spending time with my family.
I love the students, parents, staff and curriculum at Mountainville and am thrilled to be a member of such a great learning community!
