I was born here in Utah, but I grew up most of my life in St. Cloud, FL. As a kid I did a lot of the normal kid things; little league sports, piano lessons, rafting down flooded streets during hurricanes, etc. It didn't take long to figure out that on the playing field (or court) is where I felt most at home. I was a multi-sport athlete in high school (cross-country, basketball, and track), and I competed in track and field collegiately.
Although this is my first year as a full time licensed teacher, I have spent the last sixteen years working with youth in various settings including summer camps, after school and youth sport programs, sport camps, and coaching high school sports.
I've heard that if you do what you love then you'll never work another day in your life. Having a bit of a lazy side to me I've always thought that never working sounded pretty good. So, here I am.
