Ann Packard – has more than 30 years' experience as a professional seamstress, interior designer, event planner and instructor for public schools, private classes, church and 4-H. Ann values education and has enjoyed the process of learning and understanding design principles for both the home and fashion by taking continuing classes to improve her skills. Her educational training has been in the field of interior design, fashion design and construction, art history, and most recently – communications.
Ann is a "Zonie" by birth, but claims Carlsbad, California as her hometown, where she and her husband raised six children. Daughters were plentiful in their household – five of them and one incredibly handsome son!
Ann has a love affair with fabric and good design. She considers eye-candy to be places that contain fabric and textiles, blingy embellishments and creative spaces that inspire. Art museums, old buildings, dusty flea markets and junking for vintage finds are other places she likes to frequent for inspiration.
When their "nest" became empty, Ann and her husband moved to Utah in 2008 to begin their "Grand Adventure" of finishing what they started – their college degrees at BYU. What a ride!
The newest grand adventure in Ann's life is teaching full-time. As her family told her – it is about time!
